  i swear more new light is available here than in the corridors of the wts.

  in leviticus the israelites are instructed not to eat things strangled or already dead, but if they do, they are only unclean, not stoned to death.

  so why has it been upgraded by the wts to be this unforgivable sin?

  now i know lots of people here the last place they would want to be as at the kingdom hall, and i'm not claiming what i am about to say is a good or bad idea.

  but, what would happen if a large number of people visited a neighboring congregation and partook of the emblems?

  let's say an extra 10,000 partook.

But, what would happen if a large number of people visited a neighboring congregation and partook of the emblems? Let's say an extra 10,000 partook. How would they spin this when they were faced with posting the numbers?

  I was gone during the first part of it, but from what I could tell--and please if somebody has some information on it please post it--but that the word "society" is just portion of the WTBT Corporation, and the use of the word Organization would reflect a seperate entity which would be the FDS and the info they provide.

  Well, I went this weekend and there were a few key points that I thought were pretty interesting. One thing is that we are not to use the word 'Society' any longer. I don't know if anybody else has heard of this before but I wondered what the reason was behind it.

  The next was really no suprise at all as they went over all the dangers of the Internet. They gave examples of young ones being assaulted sexually, porn, and incorrect emails. They did not mention anything about Apostate information at all. The next thing they spent about 5 minutes on were Myspace accounts. They were having a hard time in one particular congregation and realized there was one thing that set it apart from the others. It was that 8 of the young people had Myspace accounts. Also they came out and stated that you cannot have responsibilities and have a Myspace account. I have been hearing rumors that each congregation elder body is supposed to search Myspace for members of the congregation to keep it clean.

  Finally there was a full talk on drinking. It stated in clear terms that you should not in any way have even one drink and then drive. It also stated that it would be improper for a brother who is on a date to have any alcohol as this is just testing ourselves and our morals. I wondered if anybody else had heard this information.

  The last talk went over everything. The District Overseer got really angry and asked why they were having these talks every year and smacked his hand on the platform and said "BROTHERS!!! YOU ARE NOT LISTENING, MANY OF YOU ARE REBELIOUS!"

  just let me start out by saying i am unable to give certain details of my life as i have learned very quickly this can cause a lot of problems.

  i was born into the 'truth' as my mother had been studying with a few sisters on and off at a local congregation.

  my father was never a jw and came in and out of my life for many years..to this day i do not give him much time.

  First off...what is a troll??? Second off....scenerio!! If you would have read my previous thread a bit more careful you would have realized that this was an attempt to show the thinking behind starting up a religion with a printing company for mass profits. It merely puts things in perspective with how religion mixes with capitolism for massive results.

  Third off...well I can't say what I want to say. I guess the angry dog and the roaring lion are living up to what they are depicted as. The angry animals relate so closely to the peoples personalities here. Are both of you the post police? It doesn't seem like it. But if you think in your mind you are that is fine. You can keep putting me down to keep your egos up. Who knows maybe somebody will pat you on the back again and you can all do a dwarf dance around a fire pit?

  have any of u guys done telemarketing witnessing b4?

  i've just started to come up with this random topic in my head and some of good/bad experiences with telephone witnessing.

  ive done it b4 but i was so uncomfortable calling ppl and telling them about the bible and stuff.

  sometimes the person on the other end of the line would ask me how i got that number ?or how do u know my name?

  Can you please give Void-Eater and DanielP some advice.

  Regarding my status right now I'm not disfellowshipped or anything like that mostly just inactive. I still have some family in. Just enjoying life right now. I do have a lot of experiences and information to share and I will definately do that. I just want to be open and respected here and in telling my story I was intending to do just what SoildEater had mentioned, and don't worry I won't scream Bull $h!Y (are we allowed to swear here?) like Daniel-I Pee does.
